Marina's passion for Cisco, her family and her country shines through in everything she does.

For Marina Morando, the desire to volunteer and give back to others runs deep. The 53-year-old Brazilian native strives to be a positive role model for her two daughters–Isabela (16) and Laura (12). They motivate her to demonstrate a life lived to the fullest. As a Cisco Olympian, she has truly set the standard to always go "Faster, Higher, Stronger."

"No matter what we face in our lives, if our attitude is focused on respect, knowledge, team spirit and the desire to help others, everyone will be faster, achieve higher things and be a stronger person," Marina says. "Whether you are the CEO or the newest employee, it is always important to try your best and go beyond expectations."

Currently a Customer Service Advisor at the São Paolo campus, Marina has been actively involved with various Cisco charitable efforts during her decade-long tenure at the company. Whether she is participating in the Connected Women initiative at Cisco, working with CAMACC (an institution that supports children with cancer), or volunteering to help with translation review or as a fire drill member, Marina keeps her own personal motto in mind: always do your best and go the extra mile.

Marina's dedication to always go the extra mile makes her a shining example of Our People Deal.

Through her involvement with numerous professional organizations and charitable endeavors, Marina has made her mark as a true representative of Our People Deal values—and now, as a Cisco Olympian.

"I like to help and share and collaborate, both at Cisco and in my personal life," Marina says. "Whenever there is an opportunity for inclusion, I try to participate. Not only does it help others, but it is also an opportunity for me to grow, learn, and engage with people of different cultures and backgrounds."

"I feel truly blessed," Marina says of the recognition. "It is a pleasure and an honor to have people acknowledge you for the way you work and how you interact with others. I am proud for not only Cisco, but also my family."
