We are really proud to share that Cisco has once again made it onto the Great Place to Work Institute's list of the World's 25 Best Multinational Workplaces and we've also been named #26 on LinkedIn's very competitive North American list of Most In-Demand Employers.

It's the fifth consecutive year we've made the Best Multinational Workplaces list since the survey began in 2011. This year we came in at number 15. We qualified for the list because we appeared on 12 national "best companies" rankings this year—in Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, UK and USA. To capture the state of companies' cultures, the Great Place to Work Institute conducts employee surveys annually in 45 countries. The institute defines a great workplace as one in which employees trust the people they work for, have pride in the work they do and enjoy the people they work with. Find out more here.

This is the first year we've made it on to LinkedIn's North American list and we've made our debut in the Top 50. Find out more here.

"We are committed to providing our employees, across the globe, with the most innovative experience where they can innovate, develop and learn," said Chief People Officer Fran Katsoudas. "By putting the focus on our people and through Our People Deal, we want to enable our people to be their best selves so they can connect, innovate and benefit. This is great recognition and we know that together we make Cisco a great place to work."

Fran shares more about how Our People Deal is making a difference in her latest blog.

Our People Are the Reason We Are Here

For 30 years, Cisco people have been doing amazing things. Like Rebeca de la Vega, who has given thousands of children in Mexico a chance at a better future through IT training. Like Hallgrim Sagen, who led the teams to win eight industrial design awards for our collaboration portfolio. And like Sarah Eccleston, who came up with the idea to attach sensors to elephants in a bid to stop ivory poaching, and traveled from London to Zambia to make it happen.

They're just three of the 70,000 reasons we're on the list, it's the 70,000 people who work at Cisco who make it the great place it is. They aren't just building better machines. They're building a better world. It is they who have the brilliant ideas, who see the connections no one else sees, who keep challenging everything we think we know. We aspire to give our people the space, freedom and support to make amazing happen. This has always been part of our culture and we're seeing the impact across the globe.

An organization is only as good as its people. And we know it's the people who work at Cisco that make it such a great place to work.
