Shraddha Chaplot loves Cisco and the opportunities she's had working here. A huge advocate of being your authentic self, Shraddha combines her love for engineering, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education, hands-on projects, and wacky ideas to inspire others to do what they are truly passionate about. She believes that every experience is something to learn from, and she's had lots of experiences at Cisco..

Shraddha is currently working on Internet of Everything experiments in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team. She describes this as her dream job, where her pastimes, passions and pondering have become her playground at work.

Before her CSR role, Shraddha was in a 6-month rotation program with the Services Innovation Excellence Center. She worked on building out an innovation toolkit and connecting employees who submitted ideas through the Smartzone idea platform with university professors and students. Prior to that, Cisco's self-proclaimed “green-gineer” built and led our Energy Star Compliance test lab, and was a hardware engineer in the Accessibility team.

Shraddha started as an intern at Cisco in 2007 while getting her B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Machine Intelligence from UC San Diego. Cisco was Shraddha's first job after college. And after almost 7 years of taking and making amazing opportunities, she can't think of anywhere else she would rather be.

Shraddha has been recognized as Silicon Valley Business Journal's (SVBJ’s) Forty Under 40 (2013), SVBJ’s 100 Women of Influence (2014), and YWCA’s Emerging Leader for Cisco (2014). She was also named one of Verve Magazine’s Indian Power Women, an Elle Geek, and will be speaking at Cisco’s Women Rock-IT TV series.

“I think it's really important for us here at Cisco to start a revolution where we really value people, we value their expertise, we value their ability and potential to learn, and we really value the fact that we can have fun.”
